Sadly, that has been my experience also. My GP (although she didn't know much) was prepared to at least work with me.
Fingers crossed!
100% ! I was taking liquid form anyway, but Fiona on here mentioned sublingual drops and what a difference!
As for my post. I hear you all, your pain, your hopelessness, just want the same fab...
Give it time, nothing with LDN is instant, you may want to look into those drops.
I just wanted to take a moment to give hope to others with this awful disease.
Having been diagnosed with rosacea and then ocular rosacea in 2002, I spent day after day, month after month and year...
I am taking sublingual drops, LDN without the fillers (tastes awful) but a real game-changer for me!
In the beginning, I did try LDN in the morning, however nowhere near the good results that I obtained in the evening.
I cannot recall, are you on tablets or drops?
Don't apologise for updating...
LDN dose: 4ml
What is there to tell. I'm currently sitting here with the right side of my face bright red, purple, swollen boring. When I breath the warm air burns my top lip. Back to square one....
Aww! Bless you!
Yes. over 2 yrs and no more nerve pain. The odd rosy-cheek if I have a glass of wine, but no more pain. Taking 2mg at present.
I differ there, my nerve pain and swelling was so bad that I was going out of my mind!
Sorry that the reduction of nerve pain did not reduce your redness & flushing though.
Well that is terrific news! Getting rid of nerve pain must be such a relief!
I would increase your does VERY slowly, IMHO two months is not enough time to assess LDN properly, I would hate you to 'give up' too soon.
Good luck!

100% agree!

I found that the less facial pain I got, the less I flushed (eventually reduced redness); fingers crossed for you.
J
Within the first couple of weeks, particularly in the reduction of facial nerve pain.
J
In the early days, it's so hard not to attribute everything to LDN, btw I saw good results quite early on!
Hope it's the same for you!!

Don't identify with sub-types. I have neurogenic rosacea (intense burning & nerve pain
when face is hot or cold); triggers emotions (happy or sad) alcohol, stress, wind.
Yes! very much so, the less I flushed the better my skin looks!
I still have the battle scars (thread veins) however cover with good makeup!

Hello!
I started on 0.5 mg (I have an overactive thyroid, so as LDN can stimulate this I had to take care) VERY gradually increased by 0.5 mg every 2 or so weeks until I was at 2.5 mg (if I tried...
I am 2 yrs into my LDN journey, it has been a life-saver and a game-changer for me!
J
Glad to hear that you've got some relief.
J
You remembered! wow! My dry/burning mouth has gone!
J
Sounds like a good plan!
I have graves disease too, and since rosacea eczema. (oh joy!), I wish you well.
J
So sorry to hear this.
