  • Study re: Ultherapy and Type 1 rosacea

Hi friends, I saw a study come up in the section re: science news on the forum, but couldn't access it. So I found an article about it via Google. It's about Ultherapy (ultrasound) and it's effect on/improvement of type 1 rosacea. Am curious about what some of you think. Wonder how it works...?

Hi hg24. I would not go near it. I had a similar treatment and it aggravated
My rosacea and caused more visible capillaries. This was before my knowledge
Of how to treat/ not treat this skin so I have no clue as to the settings etc.

Did you read in the study where they have eliminated anyone but mild rosaceans?
Seems like you have to be a perfect rosacean to candidate the study

My last thought is someone is desperate to keep ultrasound in the loop
For skin care as it is probably being phased out by cosmetic enhancements.

Hi Birdie, Oh I didn't see where they mentioned the participants had to be mild rosaceans. Hmmm. Yep, you could be right - someone's trying to keep ultrasound relevant. I did notice that the dr interviewed was ID'd as having a financial interest in Ultherapy. Welp, onward!
