  • exercise - home gyms and rosacea

since lockdown I have been building up my home gym, I have issues with flush after exercise like many others, but the feeling from a workout for me is worth it. Anyone else building up a home gym or doing more home based workouts and how does it effect your Rosacea?

Flush after a workout? Yep, that's a familiar story. But home-based workouts are my jam now. No more gym commute, no more awkward locker room small talk, just me and my sweat sesh, right at home. How's your home gym journey been treating you? Any tricks or tips you've picked up along the way? And what exercises do you do? do you lift weights?

I also have rosacea and I find that exercise can trigger my symptoms sometimes. According to some sources, high-intensity exercise can cause more flushing and redness than low-intensity exercise. Some tips to reduce the risk of a flare-up are to exercise in a cool environment, drink plenty of water, and use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer after your workout. I hope this helps you manage your rosacea and keep up the good work!
