Allergan Oxymetazoline

Hi I was just doing a quick Google search to find up to date information on the developments surrounding Allergan's Oxymetazoline treatment for subtype 1 Rosacea and came across a 2015 Research and Development document issued by Allergen which appears to detail the adverse effects of the medication in clinical trialsScreen Shot 2016-05-17 at 21.58.10.jpgScreen Shot 2016-05-17 at 21.57.58.jpg (NO REBOUND EFFECT NOTED!!!)

It says, it's been submitted to FDA for approval.
It also says oxymetazoline acts slower than mirvaso but is more tolerated.

it actually says that it will be available in 2017....waiting....waiting....waiting....another day...another week....another year and so on....

it seems like putting afrin nasal spray on your face, maybe mixing it with a small amount of lotion, would produce nearly the exact same results.

why wait until 2017?

im testing oxymetazolyne (aturgyl) for my cheeks's redness

i can say that the aturgyl effects is more longer than mirvaso (even when you cleanse it after a day of using it)
and it is working immediatly after you apply it
the rebound effect is less than mirvaso also

but
unless than mirvaso, i can feel the night a little anesthetize feeling (especially on the upper theeth), which is not really a problem.
and like mirvaso, i can feel some heart stress (but maybe it is just because im stressed?), but i think it is the aturgyl the cause.

the rebound effect is better than mirvaso, and im think it is maybe possible to find a balance between rebound/pale skin unlinke mirvaso for which it is obviously not possible.

for the moment.
i apply one drop of aturgyl, and some water. (maybe 10 drop of water)
and the all applyed for the two cheeks and noze.
i will diluate more in order to find maybe a balance between rebound/pale/heart.

diluate it with other things that water is stupid imo.
because all creams are scam and aggravate the skin condition;

which spray should i buy then ? and how much of this spray should i mix with a lotion ?

are there any rosacea sufferers who already tried this ? and what result did they have ? is it possible that the rosacea gets worse when putting this stuff on your face ?

Many who asked this question and tried Alphagan P to get hold of brimonidine before Mirvaso was available did not do well.

This would be a good reason to wait until next year, when your doctor is part of the treatment and can support you.

A normal review has a target of 10 months for approval. There is plenty of data for the FDA to review, in the form of the application for the new drug, so 10 months seems pretty reasonable I reckon.

It will probably work quite well, but I think we need to be conservative in our expectations that it will be well tolerated by rosacea sufferers at large.

Only time will tell, but we more or less have been here before - waiting for a promising new drug to be available. With Mirvaso the large scale usage doesn't seem to match the Phase 3 trial results, but by contrast Soolantra has been well received. So we can but wait and see - and hope that things work out well - but temper our expectations.
