Im not sure its all Galderma.I have seen many posts from the states down through the years and I think americans pay huge premiums on medication. If you compare prices in the states to europe you will see huge differences. Look at the patented Oracea for example. In the states without insurance a months supply will cost 100s of dollars. In Germany, again without any kind of insurance it can be bought for $30.

yes it's all the pharma companies. Their lobby groups have been very active and powerful for years. Since the Supreme Court passed Citizens United , which allows unlimited political donations, it has just got worse. I'll get off my soap box now.

There is what they call a "revolving door" between big pharma companies, and high powered positions in governmental regulation agencies, company lobbyists, and at the very top of all of these power positions are the most corrupt psychopaths the world has ever seen. These sickos effect the globe with proven cases of crimes like selling contaminated lots of vaccines to third world countries and so on and so forth... They do not care who lives or who dies. They do not care if they cause
immense suffering around the world. They are free from prosecution because they are offering top jobs to they very people who would be their prosecutors.
Of the parents who now refuse to give their children vaccines or take them themselves, the large percent are medical professionals. The last place an oncologists will go if they are diagnosed with cancer is an oncologists and be given radiation "therapy' and toxic pesticides from the 50's and have that called cemo-"therapy." Dentists don't put mercury in their children's teeth nor do they use or give their families fluoride. Did you know the US government owns a patient on the process for making a cannabis oil that cures cancer and they are sitting on it and prosecuting anyone who even makes a claim that cannabis cures cancer?
Now THAT's a soap box arb161!

Sorry to hear Mirvaso is so expensive
What if everyone here on the board gets connected to one American member once the Mirvaso is out, and we all try to go to our own European dermatologists, show the specialist signed referral letter for Mirvaso cream from our US contact person, explain the situation and that we need not one tube of Mirvaso for ourselves but TWO, incl one for the contact person and then send it back for the European cost price plus posting costs to our US contact person?
That would mean that they can probably get it for 40 dollar or so? Not sure how much it would cost here but I doubt more than 30 euro?My rosacea related blog: http://scarletnat.blogspot.com/2012/...edication.html

worsened condition
So, my 3-day Mirvaso use has left me worse off than before I started. It has been a week, and now that my face has settled, it is clear that my baseline condition has been kicked up a notch.
This is pretty devastating for me, so I won't be posting any more, as I tend to stay away from the forum when things get very bad. I don't feel as if I have much to offer, as my conditions has been progressive since the get go, and particularly since pregnancy for me. Noting I try helps, I can't seem to stop it from getting worse, and it is causing me a lot of discomfort, anxiety, and depression. Right now, I feel stuck in a nightmare, kicking myself for not being happy with the way things were, which were uncomfortable but tolerable. Now, I am struggling to get through each day.
But I wanted to share my experience so people know that the rebound/worsening of condition is a real possibility. And I have already gotten rid of the Mirvaso, so I don't have any to send to anyone, sorry.
Good luck. I hope this works well for many of you.

That's so sad to read. I hope and think your skin will settle in some extra time, at least from the mirvaso stir up. Cant be 100% certain of anything obviously but it did with me after some time and some others I know. Its so understandable that a burning painful face is making you anxious and depressed, and it seems you have other things and pressures in your life as well currently, like being a good partner, mother etc. I don't remember if we emailed about this before, but have you already tried medication to cut down the flushing and inflammation? Its a lot of trial and error unfortunately but I really hope you perhaps find some relief from medication?
hugs and hope you will keep posting here when you feel a bit better again xoMy rosacea related blog: http://scarletnat.blogspot.com/2012/...edication.html

Hey guys,
Since saturday, I've been using less than a pea sized amount for my entire face, actually, about a half pea size total, so MUCH less than recommended. I'm getting good results. When I woke up today, I did have a bit of redness creeping back in a weird spot on my nose which is not normal, but applying the regular (tiny) amount of mirvaso made it go away. It is doing the job day after day. I am however, taking the next 2 days off work to watch what it does to my skin, because I need to know that my skin normalizes again and my baseline is not worse before I continue usage. Will post back.

From what Im hearing so far on this thread
I think this Mirvaso needs more work done on it . Its too strong
Maybe they need to make one with half the strenght of the one that's available nowLast edited by Mirvaso2013; 1 October 2013, 04:16 PM.

So far, I do not seem to have experienced rebounds when using a minimal amount. The cosmetic result is "pretty good" but not great with this amount. My plan is to just use a minimal amount every once in a while, but continue to try to treat the root cause of the disease. So I am looking at this drug as way to help cope with rosacea and not as "savior". In that manner, I think it is more likely I will have long term success. The other option is to put a lot on (the recommended does), possibly have severe rebounds, be "addicted" to it, and have the psychological problem of pale/red. No thanks. Sometimes, less is more.
