Amongst those who used Mirvaso for a month, just 4% experienced redness, and 3% flushing.

Amongst the 365 days trialists, 8% experienced redness and 5% had `rosacea’ as an adverse event and 5% cold like symptoms.

So overall your likelihood of an adverse event is low.
Hmm, well it's no uncommon for pharmaceutical companies to put up highly favorable percentages when it comes to side effects. For instance, on an antidepressant like remeron only ≥7% supposedly has weight gain, which is a massive joke as almost everyone taking it complaints of it, I'd say the % should be 50% at least. Just saying.. and who knows how efficient and critical they were when composing those test trials, every pharmaceutical company has an interest in having the most favorable side effects list.

Not saying this is the case with Mirvaso per se, but religiously believe the % given is not always sensible either unfrt.
Just wondering, why are you so negative and quite aggressive imo to people here expressing their doubts? You seem a first time poster, what is your motive to act so antagonistic?

    • WJS, and how are you. You bragging so Mirvaso.

In fact it is not enough people tested Mirvaso, to now say that Mirvaso is bleeehhhh...
How many people wrote to a topic that has Mirvaso? 3 or 5?
As if commented already 20-50 people that tested Mirvaso and posted to this topic for tests. Then can draw conclusions.

It is still not enough testers Mirvaso.

I guess that Mirvaso works well for me because I realize that it is a "treatment", not a "cure". ALL pharmaceuticals have plusses and minuses. The key is to make the plusses work for you individually. If the minses totally outweigh the plusses, then maybe you should move on to a different product. However, Mirvaso is indicated to be used once per day. As an analogy, if a physician prescribes a blood pressure medication to be used once per day and you skip several days between doses, guess what will happen. On the days that you skip, you will have rebound hypertension. Yes, your blood pressure will be significantly higher on those skip days than it was before you first started the medication. If you stay off the medication, blood pressure will slowly drift back down to your "normal" elevated level. In fact, because of this, skipping blood pressure medication doses puts one at greater risk for stroke than not taking the medicine at all.

The subjects in the phase 3 trial (who overall, did great) used Mirvaso as indicated, every day on all areas of their face. They did not micro-scrutinize one millimeter of their face over another and they did not decide to "take days off" to "see what will happen". Also, many medications require a "priming" or "loading dose" before complete effectiveness is achieved. Try using the med daily as indicated for a month or 2 and then write in some feedback. Hour to hour updates about particular patches of skin treated by intermittent dosing is not helpful in the evaluation process.

Yes I used mirvaso for 3 consecutive days once a day. I didn't apply any today so this is the longest I've been off of it. My nose and chin are almost normal now but my cheeks are still more red and hot. Maybe I'm just in the 4%. It's just so weird because my skins not super reactive or overly sensitive. I definitely think others should still try it! It might work and if it did that would be so great for some people.
Jees thats not good. And whats makes it worse is you dont have overly sensitive skin.Where the hell does that leave all of us that do have overly sensitive skin.

this is a very good explanation ! maybe this is why we need to use every day, only to avoid the rebounds.

                  Do you what would help

If people like wjs could mention that he is a Flusher or his triggers in their profile

So when people read his posts about Mirvaso they will know what his triggers are etc etc

                  Its just a idea ..... thoughts ?

Really good idea, when can we see your pictures WJS and updates on your 2 month trial? Do you have rosacea and are you intending to test the product here? (Or even answer this post?)

Is there actually anyone on this site who has not had rebound flushing from Mirvaso? I have been following this product for years and I have to say I feel pretty angry about it. I don't think I heard one success story yet and to be honest having read so much about it prior to its fda approval im not surprised. To give people a product that will have a negative impact on so may sufferers??? I have a feeling that this is going to continue to make matters worse for a lot of people and I know people don't like negativity on these sites but with regards to this product and think we have a right to feel a little pissed off! 1% of patients suffering with negative side affects??? Somehow I don't think so. Its a little bit like a bad joke to give people a product like this. I truly feel that in this day in age its not acceptable that a product of this nature is the best that they can come up with. The rebound issue simply has not been resolved and will make redness worse for a lot of sufferers, how did this manage to get FDA approval?

My prof derm said he was in one of the boards for this product and under pressure of some patients her and me he kept asking about the rebound issue and if they had already solved it. All got the impression the rebound wasn´t even considered an issue by the makers, or swept under the carpet. One of the spokes persons for Mirvaso emailed me about this and when asked about the rebound issue and if they had solved it and how, he knew nothing about it. I think they just wanted this product out asap after all the years of delay and trials and just hope that it will sell, and work for those with just permanent redness. Not per sé rosacea patients therefore. Just my 5 cents. But only a couple of people have tried the Mirvaso and it might very well work great for a lot of people, so it seems too soon to get our hopes down yet?

WJS seems to have had a positive effect from Mirvaso so far but no pictures or anything from him to determine if its real (not that that would be needed normally, but for first time posters passionately promoting the product, that seems a logical safety question).
