  • The difference between Rosacea and Hot Flashes caused by hormones

I just joint the group today and I'm hoping that someone has had a similar experience. I was diagnosed with Rosacea about ten years ago. I managed my diet and took limited meds. Then, my primary care doctor retired and I found a new doctor about five years ago and she promptly stopped my hormones which were keeping me from having hot flashes. Since then, I can't tell if I'm having a Rosacea flush or a hot flash, or if one is aggravating the other. I average 10-12 flushes/hot flashes a day which makes it difficult to go anywhere! I keep battery operated fans in areas of my home so that I can grab one when needed. I keep the temp on 68 in the house. My doctor will not put me back on hormones because of heart issues. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas?

There are many prescription and non prescription treatments to avoid flushing besides hormones. Recommend you view this list of treatments. You may find some other helpful information in this category.
