  • Neurogenic rosacea

I have suffered for over 8 years and tried literally everything, prescription and over the counter. Everyone is different so I can only speak to my own experience and hope it helps someone else. Things I have tried:
    metrogel
    finacea
    elidel
    mirvaso
    soolantra
    sulfur
    doxycycline
    oracea
    niacinamide
    acyclovir
    doxepin
    amtriptilin
    plaquenil
    remeron
    lyrica
    zoloft
    ketamine/amytriptileneointment
    hydroxyzine
    propranolol
    clonidine
    gabapentine
I had numerous laser treatments and ipl, also botox injections. I don't think Ive left anything out. So nothing cured the only thing that helps is LDN, thats it. I take magnesium at a high dose and LDN, for me this is the only thing that has helped. I believe laser and ipl do not help at all, in fact, I think the reverse is true, certainly for neurogenic rosacea. I found clonidine to be awful causing rebound flushing and burning. I hope this is helpful and sorry its not more uplifting!

Hello! Absolutely! I have now repaired my damaged skin-barrier (with use of gentle products & serums) and the nerve pain has 100% gone! I flush from heat/the odd tipple, but it never goes into that hell of burning! My dry eyes are finally showing signs of improvement too. I didn't have them before rosacea!

I am about to start LDN tomorrow (it took me quite a long time to get it in germany, it is pretty unknown here) and now I am really excited after reading about your success story! when did you see the first improvement? and how great thet your eyes are getting better as well!

                  Hello again!

I started on 0.5 mg (I have graves disease/overactive thyroid, so as LDN may interfere with that, I took it steady. Side effects were vivid dreams, slight headache and joint ache (went by about a month), Less is certainly more with this, what type are you taking? I found that Sublingual Drops were a game-changer for me! (they are without fillers) and dispensed with a dropper.

                  Best of luck!

Judworth thank you so much, that helps me a lot! I am going to take sublingual drops as well (based on water) and I want to start with 0,2 mg as I am really really sensitive and a little bit scared of side effects and hopefully I can increase the amount quite fast

Judworth do you think an initial worsening is possible? my symptoms are getting worse and I don't know why. I really want the LDN to work!!
