A real newbie here to all of this, so bare with me!
I'm a 17 year old male, and I have had red cheeks for my entire life. The redness is on my entire cheek, they are quite warm, and it fades to my jawline. A lot of exercise and the cold does cause me to flush. I tend to get the occasional comments on them like "looks like it is cold out there, your cheeks are all rosy", "are you alright? you're all red!" I've never been concerned about it when I was younger, since I thought it was genetics and being fair skinned, since my cousins and older sister have some redness in their cheeks. I just think I had rosy cheeks. When I was 13-14, my friend said they noticed that my cheeks have lately been more red than usual. It went from a light redness to a rosy red. It's been that way for 3-4 years now and I'm not sure why. I've became quite bothered about them the older I got. I don't mind having red cheeks like I used to when I was younger, I dislike how red they always are now, like I'm blushing from embarrassment. My blood pressure isn't high and my diet is typically healthy. I'm not so concerned on the flushing/blushing, but the redness itself. I haven't been to a dermatologist specifically for it, however, I've asked about them a few months ago and they are not sure. I have an appointment with them in November so I hopefully get some answers. I've just yesterday found this sight yesterday and saw it as a good way to get an answer or at least lead me in the right direction.
Could this be rosacea? And if so, have I always had it? Are there any good treatments to make them not as red?
