  • Alcohol Consecutive Nights Trigger?

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this as a trigger for rosacea flare-ups: drinking alcohol for a number of consecutive nights? I have noticed that if I drink two nights in a row I am fine, but if I drink 3 or more nights in a row I have a severe flair up with extreme redness and inflammation, acne-like breakouts (like 30 at a time), followed by skin peeling after the redness and inflammation go away (typical cycle 7 days start to finish). More specifics: If I drink I typically have 4 drinks per night consisting of two 5-ounce glasses of white wine and two shots of whiskey over ice. Other nights I don't drink anything. Yes, I am aware white wine is a common trigger, and alcohol in general.

I gotta say, Rosacea is like this puzzle that keeps us guessing. But the good thing is you're already ahead of the game by noticing patterns and being mindful about it. So I'd advice you stop drinking 3 or more nights in a row
