Has anyone tried this recently? I spoke to a practioner in the uk today who said that quite a few treatments are required, however, with the reduction in blood vessels there is a corresponding reduction of fluishing and burning.Does this sound to good to be true?

Veinwave has been discussed in various places before and is available thru the search feature. Mirradodga has posted that he has used it successfully for the treatment of telangiectasia but I believe that the claim by the doctor that it is helpful for the flushing and burning would be a bit shaky.
Have you looked at their website? Unless you have visible vessels (as this is all it will treat), it wouldn't be of any use. I don't know your symptoms but if redness, flushing, and burning are your symptoms, it's not likely to help. They can't treat veins the human eye can't see with the veinwave, unlike IPL or PDL.
It is, for better or worse, simply a cosmetic machine- which doesn't mean that it is not effective for visible telangiectasia, but that it has a specific purpose for a specific result.
In addition, the website would contradict the statement that quite a few treatments are required. I would think regular maintenance treatments would be required as the formation of telangiectasia by those prone to do so, is a lifelong problem.

I have posted previously regarding Thermocoagulation (Veinwave). The main specialist in the uk is Dr Newman. The site link is:-

Their telephone number is 0800 5422023. I thnk he travels around the uk and does treatments in various cities.

However, it is rather expensive, I think it was around £150 for a consultation and £350 per treatment. I would imagine you would need quite a few treaments. I considered this seriously but I had a feeling that it is only another consmetic treatment and would not really get to the route of my problem. Their sales pitch is good but I just don't know if it would work or not.

Thanks for the responses - yes I had checked out the Dr Newman website.I have also seen a treatment report which was very damning of Dr Newman.
I just hoped that as the treatment has been around for a while now and is becoming available in the US there might be some more recent feedback.

If it were drinks in a pub I may choose Mirra over you, but then again, anybody from a culture that can choke down Haggis would probably make one helluva a drinking partner.
