My face is slowly getting better, just the tightness and my swollen areas below my eyebrow to go now. I am not wearing my contact lenses at the moment either just in case they are the irritant.

I haven't tried cottage cheese yet, anything fried I avoid so oven chips only for me.

Looked somewhat like mine. Do you have flakiness, and especially after shower?

Yes I do get bad flakiness, my skin literally sheds like a snake.

Just mixed some oatmeal and extra virgin olive oil and applied it to my face and gently rubbed it all over,then showered.Although my face went very red initially, after a walk outside it calmed down and now my skin feels very supple and there are less flakes.
