    Default The Low carb diet

I have just started the low carb diet and i was wondering if anyone has any good receipes/meals to eat.

Also i was wondering what flavourings/herbs/ sauces are there that do not aggravate rosacea? Im getting a bit sick of eating plain chicken and beef lol.

    Thanks heaps

    Hey Bruno,

I decided to start this low carb diet after reading Rosacea 101 diet book.

What made you decide to start the low carb diet?

Well i find it very difficult to know exactly what to eat, some people say you can eat meat and others say you cant

I would be very interested in knowing what you were told you can eat and what is working for you?

We could exchange ideas on foods to eat ?i have written up a 7 day diet plan for myself

    Thanks

    hi jason

i decided to start the rosacea diet because I have done many treatments to treat rosacea, such as IPL, antibiotics, creams, basically what many people already tried but without success. never believed much in the diet, but now after reading several posts of people with improvement in rosacea based on diets, i decided to try.
I also ordered the zz cream and acarid soap, I think that it will come this week. I am also searching for HCL capsules.
Unfortunately i donīt have rosacea 101 book, only searched on the web for the rosacea diet, but I am confused with certain foods, because some say it's bad for rosacea others say it's good ..
I still do not have a plan for 7 days on a diet. I need to make a diet plan too, meanwhile I eat salmon, tuna, sardines, juice of green tea and cutting coffee, sugar, salt, pork, cow ...
my mother is doing the cholesterol diet so we are eating almost the same. but as you my friend jason, i donīt know exactly what should i eat, even if a know all the foods that should i eat or avoid, but keep a good meal, to not lose weight, or strengh.
could you tell me what is your 7 day diet plan?

    Thanks..

    Bruno

I was on Bee Wilder's Candida Diet for some time and it really did help my face. It's high in good fat (cocunut oil, olive oil, butter etc), high in protein and low in carbs. No preservatives, no sugar, gluten-free...and more (too much to explain in one sentence).

My favourite meal was to make up a huge broth/soup:

    Bacon hocks
    Celery
    Onion
    Garlic
    Red and Green Capsicum
    Cauliflower
    Coconut oil
    Butter
    Chicken stock (home made best)
    Spices of your choice
Celtic Sea Salt (MUCH better than processed table salt)
    Ground Pepper

(I'm sure there was more I used to put in?!)

Bung it all in a big pot and bring to the boil. Simmer for a few hours until the meat falls away from the bones.

Remove the bones (give them to the dog) LOL

Serve up a big bowl, it's very filling.

You can freeze portions for any meal of the day.

I've got loads of recipes for low carb. You just have to use your imagination a bit.

    hi jason
i noticed that you didnīt include sardines and tuna (tinned or not) in your diet plan 7days, because you donīt want to include in your diet or because it is not as good as, for example some foods mentioned in your diet?. I ask because where I live is more easily to buy canned tuna and canned sardines than for example tin of Asparagus.
I know that we must avoid pork, but a slice of bacon, time to time thatīs not problem? ..
about the green tea, used to make tea, and had some problems by drinking it hot, but bought juice from green tea, but unfortunately contains lemon, I think the lemon is not as good for rosacea, and also contains sugar and sweeteners, then I will return to the hot green tea.
I have taken tea green, and I see no difference in rosacea..
and you, are you doing something else besides the diet?

    thanks

I too, like RedHotoz am on bee Wilder's diet and it has marked man improvements in my skin (not only concerning Rosacea)

The recipe I can contribute is my egg omelette.

    Ingredients

1 Tbsp of Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil
    3-5 Organic Eggs
    2 Stalks of kale
    1 part of Red Pepper
    3 Garlic Gloves
    Sea Salt

    Instructions

Coat a pan with the Coconut Oil (add more if desired) and heat the pan on medium until smokey
Beat 3-5 Organic Eggs in a bowl, set the stove to low and put the eggs in the Pan
Mince the Kale, Red Bell pepper and garlic cloves and put on top of the egg right after the egg is flipped
Sandwhich the egg and voila, you have a low carb, high fat, moderate protein, nutrient dense meal that is fairly easy to digest!
    Add Sea Salt to taste

Hi Bruno, im no nutritional expert im just providing the diet i made after reading the ROSACEA 101 Diet book.
I'm not sure if canned salmon, tuna or sardines are good or bad for rosacea, but i have been taken salmon and have had no problems so far. The reason i don't have tuna or sardines is that i do not like the taste and i think i read somewhere that maybe sardines arent good for rosacea mite be wrong ( try googling it)

In the book it says you can substitute any protein for any protein, so you can eat as much meat as you want during the day. Just less than 30 carbs and no sugars.

The trick is to be creative in what you eat
i.e. combine lettuce, hard boiled egg, celery, cut up chicken pieces, mixed nuts etc

So did drinking cold green tea help you? and do you know if you can eat mixed nuts? and is pork/bacon not good for rosacea??
